OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE (POST SMA/TSA LIFE)
Throughout the life of a wind farm, some component failures are expected. However, critical component failures or repeated failures must be analyzed utilizing robust and proven RCA methodology. This will enhance an understanding of the turbine’s risk of an repeated failure, which will, in return, reduce the economic impact and improve knowledge based decision making. Broad product knowledge will aid decisions whether to repair, replace, or improve the impacted component. Remaining uselful life studies (RUL) will support decisions about life extension, repowering, or decommissioning. Based on continuous monitoring of remaining useful life of the assets, commercially appropriate decisions can be made about post SMA/LTP path.
